A couple of years ago, my family and I were searching for a new photographer after repeatedly dealing with unreliable scheduling and communication. Finding someone we could trust to consistently capture our family's milestones was important to us, and that's when we found Emily. Since then, she has photographed several special moments for our family, including maternity, newborn, and family sessions. Every gallery she delivers is beautiful and filled with memories we'll cherish for years to come. As many parents know, photo sessions with young children don't always go according to plan. Even when our little ones have been less than cooperative, Emily remains patient, engaging, and professional. She has a natural ability to connect with children and somehow always manages to capture genuine smiles and beautiful moments. The entire experience is seamless from start to finish. Emily was simply amazing at capturing our newest addition to our family and including not only our toddler but my my mother as well. Her studio was beautiful and set up perfectly for everyone to be comfortable in the space. The photos are simply stunning and came back so quickly, we were shocked but so happy! Scarlet Oak Photography has captured each milestone of our daughter’s life so beautifully. Between 1st birthday cake smashes to family portraits, Emily does it all while making sure everyone’s best is captured. We never feel awkward or stressed and love how Emily provides helpful direction when needed while also encouraging us to make each photoshoot fit our own styles and comfort level. I will be rebooking in the future as numerous people continue to compliment us on our photos!

Emily is an incredible photographer. She has such a good eye, is incredibly communicative and easy to work with, and takes the most gorgeous photos. She took my maternity and newborn photos and the images she captured were priceless. I’ve worked with Emily in three very locations: in her studio, at a woodsy farm location, and in my home. In all three different settings the photos she took were completely stunning. She is so so so talented. I cannot recommend Emily enough!

Emily was such a joy to work with. She was so patient and flexible with our little one. Newborns can be unpredictable but Emily made us all feel at ease. She had such attention to detail and helped capture our little love so well! We are so grateful to her.
