I couldn't be happier with Marty's work! I have admired Marty's work for some time now and then, the chance for the mini-session came up. I am so happy that I took advantage of the opportunity! Scheduling a time was easy and Marty was so accommodating. When we arrived, Marty was so great with my Penny Lane. She tends to be an anxious pup, and he was so patient and calm with her and me! Marty didn't rush the session which I SO appreciated it! He even laughed at and indulged in Penny's quirks. And I know Penny was comfortable, too! We had a great time with our session. His photos turned out AMAZING! I had to stop myself from buying all of the prints. I cannot wait to get them framed and display them in my home. As I told Penny Lane, I get to have these forever. It was the best Valentine's Day AND birthday gift to myself - EVER! Thank you, Marty!

Marty did an excellent job with Rocco, our Albino German Shepherd! He took such great care of Rocco during the photo shoot and is a pro when it comes to handling dogs of all personalities. Within a short time Rocco was comfortable around Marty and following his instruction for shots! Would highly recommend to anyone searching for a skilled pet photographer!

I definitely was not happy with my experience working with Marty. It was difficult scheduling the shoot, and the subsequent review of photos due to lack of communication. He also was not able to get great photos of my dog and seemed inexperienced working with anxious dogs. He made odd comments about his "normal" clients and how they tend to have big houses and that his prices might "freak me out", and asked me to invite my boyfriend to his sales pitch. Overall not a great experience and I’m not very happy with the print.

Our dog Cali’s pretty anxious in new situations, and we were worried she wouldn’t be able to calm down enough to show her sweet side in professional photos. Marty at Van & Bella’s did a great job of letting her unwind at her own pace and come to him. The resulting photos captured her perfectly. We can’t recommend him enough!

If you're thinking about getting professional photos done of your pet... Do it!!! Marty's work is amazing! My dog loved him instantly and they had a lot of fun together taking photos. I'm obsessed with everything I ordered. You will be so happy you had these done.

Highly recommend Marty at Van & Bella's. His professionalism, kindness, and patience with our *energetic* and highly treat motivated pup was remarkable. He's so talented and gentle with animals. When we received our keepsake photo album, we were moved to tears by the simplicity and beauty of the shots...he captured the range of her personality so perfectly. I’m a certified dog trainer (cpdt-ka) and work mostly with dogs with fear and anxiety issues. On top of it, my own 12 year old Amstaff has issues of her own. I was very excited to discover Amstaphy. I begin following Martin on Instagram and Facebook for a while, and was very impressed with his work. Not only every single frame is beautiful and artistic but what’s more important for many pet parents, he has a gift for capturing your pet’s personality and quirkiness. Just stunning! What you don’t see, and for me was a priority, that Martin has a special calmness about him which is crucial when working with troubled animals. Anyone dealing with a fearful or anxious dog on daily basis knows how difficult it could be to perform even a simple task, not to mention putting them in an unknown environment with lights and camera in their face. That’s pretty huge! Martin takes his time, is very patient and respects the pet’s comfort level. I felt at ease allowing him to work with my sweet girl who started to give him kisses in no time 🙂 Last but not least, he also volunteers his time and talent helping animals get adopted at local shelters.
