7/5 stars! It was a joy to work with Kari. Every interaction was full of kindness and an infectious energy that made us actually excited to be photographed. My husband and I had a somewhat thematically blended wedding (traditional ceremony, nontraditional reception) and, as you'll see, both distinct vibes were captured flawlessly. We couldn't be happier with our photos and that we can look back on moments both big and small on a day that feels like it passed in the blink of an eye. Our guests are just as thrilled to have gained a few new profile pics of their own ;).

Kari is such a talented photographer. We had the pleasure of working with her for our engagement photo sessions and she helped us capture our love story in all the locations in Detroit and beyond that mean the most to us. We were camera shy, but Kari was able to make us feel so comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. We truly cannot thank her enough for our incredible set of engagement photos! Kari is professional and got our albums back in a timely manner. It was so difficult to pick one picture so we end up using a couple on our save the dates. We received so many compliments from family and friends on the photos we ended up picking on our save the dates. We cannot thank her enough! She also was able to give us plenty of amazing recommendations for photographers to do our wedding in July since she’ll be a guest. Kari was absolutely phenomenal. We had a last second tiny ceremony and Kari helped us through the process so smoothly. She did an incredible job with my photo-shy spouse, capturing some lovely candids of all our favorite people. She even took a few photos for our friend's dating profile 😉 She has a beautiful eye for capturing moments, and I'm obsessed with the combo of digital and gorgeous film photography. We couldn't have asked for a better person to capture our special day.

Kari was an absolute dream to work with, and I feel so honored that we had such a talented photographer at our wedding! Even though it was a small get together, somehow every film and digital picture Kari captured looks like a moment out of an elegant storybook. These pictures mean so much to the both of us, our two families coming together and celebrating our big day with us - we have such beautiful reminders now because of Kari's skills.

Kari is the whole package. 1. She brings wicked talent and intention to her craft as a photographer. When my wife and I first looked into hiring a photographer for our wedding, I literally cried over how beautifully she captures queer joy. We had to give her our money. On our wedding day, she and our second shooter somehow managed to be everywhere at once, capturing everything from our big smiles at the altar to our friends and family simultaneously sweating and crying on a hot August afternoon. She handled our families’ personalities with such grace late into the night, and she did it all while slinging cameras like Yosemite Sam! 2. She also brings her talent and intention to every part of the client experience. Every touchpoint my wife and I had with Kari leading up to and through the wedding was thoughtful and compassionate and her authenticity really put us at ease and made the whole process really fun. We were so lucky to have Kari document this time in our lives, and we look forward to working with her again!

Kari is an absolute gem! She is so comfortable to be around it really makes the photos just happen naturally. We are truly happy with every single photo she took. It was a really nice touch having the ability for Kari to shoot with film instead of all digital. You can tell how selective she is with film and it shows in the product. Big moments, candid moments, subtle moments, black and whites, high flash, portraits, she got em all. Thank you so much Kari, N + M

Kari is a one-of-a-kind, absolute gem. She was one of our favorite parts of our wedding planning experience and made our wedding day so special. She was so thoughtful and considerate of our wants for our photography and she delivered 100-fold. We couldn't be happier with the photos we got from Kari.
