My wife Jen and I decided back in January that we were going to take a trip to the mid-west during late spring. In the process of planning said trip, we also decided to get married. Not wanting to have to import a photographer from Florida and being on a tight budget, we scoured the area but got turned down by everyone we called. In the searching process, we got Ilana recommended to us by multiple people in the area. Impressed by her previous work and her responsiveness, we decided to go with her for our special day. Meeting with Ilana we had a very good rapport almost immediately. She was highly personable, very positive and proceeded to take some of the best pictures we've ever had taken of us in our lives. I am not particularly photogenic and typically very camera shy, but she made the entire process very easy and comfortable. We had a little bit of a longer wait than expected, due to it being a very busy season and certain unfortunate events, but what she produced is outstanding and well worth the wait. Neither of us are planning to ever get married again, but if you're thinking about doing it in the Madison area, you'd do well to do it with Ilana. Amazing experience overall.

Ilana is incredibly fun to work with and helped me feel so comfortable in front of the camera (and I do not consider myself photogenic!). The photos she takes are truly special. She captures authenticity and genuine emotion in a way that’s really unique and beautiful.

Ilana truly has a gift. For bringing laughter, curiosity, and ease to the process. For creating a safe space for deeper emotion to surface. For capturing the sweetest moments, no matter how small. It’s just so plainly evident that she loves humans and loves her job. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to be photographed by her, and I hope it can happen again.

Ilana is an incredible and fun photographer. She did our engagement and wedding photos and blew us away! She made taking photos together feel natural and captured some of the most special moments that we didn't even know happened during our celebration. Her eye is spot on when looking for special moments to capture, and she also directed everyone so easily when we were trying to do posed group photos. We hope we'll get to work with her in the future to capture other special moments! We had a great time working with Ilana and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a special occasion photographer!

We have used ilana for our wedding and now multiple times for family photos. The quality of her work is stunning!! We have so many of her photos hanging in our home. We love how she can make us laugh and relax during photo sessions, and goes with the flow. She’s watched our family grow over the years and now feels like family!

Ilana was fantastic, going above and beyond on our wedding day. She took the time to get to know us, our families, and what was most important to us, and then tailored the day to what we wanted and was able to adapt on the fly. You can tell she loves what she does. 10/10 would recommend.
