FotoFly Orem

This is our 4th year doing Santa photos but our 1st in Orem. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly. They got us back quickly and the photographer worked really well with all our kids (9 years, 5 years and 2 months). I unfortunately don't remember our photographers name but he was a tall brunette guy. We got the pictures back same day and they were adorable with lots of genuine smiles from our kiddos. Would be happy to visit this location again.

My family visited for a Santa photo session and ended up feeling sad with the results. I was hoping to capture the magic of Christmas through my young kids eyes. Instead, I was assigned to a photographer who had no connection with my kids or husband. We mentioned that it was our first time, but still, the photographer gave no advice, help, or engagement to get the kids smiling. The photographer neglected to check my husband’s Santa costume so I adjusted what I noticed but when the pictures came back we realized Santa’s gloves were missing! Now I’m left with blasé pictures of my kids with straight faces and a guy who you can clearly tell is my husband standing over the kids. These pictures are far from magical. They don’t even meet basic expectations. We had a lack of variety of poses, no attempts to get the kids to smile, poor timing at capturing the short lived smiles my kids did give, and to top it off, our mini session was cut short which is significant when the time with the photographer was scheduled to only be 10 minutes. My family was polite to the photographer and gave no reason for him to be careless. I didn’t receive close to what I paid for. I’m heart broken that my hopes for happy kids meeting Santa were ruined. I will never recommend Santa photos at the Orem fotofly.

A few good things, we were able to use their Santa so that was nice. They were able to get us going earlier than our time slot but I felt really rushed. They started doing the pictures while I was in the restroom. So when I came out they had already done half the pictures. The photographer ended up just doing the same pose for all 4 of my kids individually pictures. I am not happy with the end results. We went to the thanksgiving point location a few years ago and it was WAY better.

Brooke was amazing today with our daughter! She took her pictures last year as well. She knew how to distract our toddler when she was getting grumpy. She knew all the cute poses, and our pictures are adorable (got them back same day)! We can't thank you enough, Brooke!

We got our Santa photos done on Friday and was told we’d receive our pictures within 24-48 hours..it’s now Monday and I’ve tried reaching out with no response. I haven’t received any of our pictures or any response as to when we’ll get them. Not only that, but the photographer while was great at posing, was WAY too focused on the pose being perfect and missed all the good giggles, smiles, and cute quirks my kids have at this age. I’d much rather capture the true joy and laughter than a perfect pose with fake or no smiles at all. This is our 7th year doing this..been doing it since my oldest was 3 months old. I’m very disappointed in this time around. Orem location is for sure slacking.

Our photographer didn't make much effort getting our kids to smile. He just said "smile!" Which was disappointing. We've done lots and lots of Fotofly pictures and usually they make a big effort to get the kids to laugh and smile, which wasn't the case here. So my 7 year old who hates photos is not smiling in hardly any of the pics. Also I had told the photographer at the beginning that I was probably going to have to hold my one year old for most of the time because he was really scared and the first pose the photographer had me put him on the bed so of course he was screaming and then he was crying and had a red face in the rest of the pictures 🤦‍♀️ Also the waiting area at this location is CRAZY small. We've done Fotofly Santa for five years but the last couple years I haven't been thrilled with the results. Might be time to move on.

Photographer and Santa were so great and had so much patience with our kids. Everyone was super sweet. Totally recommend!
