JCPenney Portraits

The only reason I'm giving 1 star is that the pictures came out nice. The customer service here is zero. My appointment was for 3pm, I got a call 2 days earlier by the lady in charge, I'm guessing the mgr, informing me to be 15 minutes early or my appointment will be cancelled and rescheduled if I'm late, and I was also reminded several times the session is only 15mins. I took my whole family, baby included, raced to JCPenney, got there at 2.39pm, only to see the place dark,closed and a time sign saying 'will be back at 3pm'. The mgr here ( or lady in charge) has no customer service ethics whatsoever. She's not a people person and didn't even bother to apologize for leaving us in the dark for over 20 minutes, after giving me a warning call. She denied telling me to come in 15 minutes early, she talks fast and firm, even heard her telling someone else on the phone exactly what she told me when she called. Very rude and unprofessional. Even while the assistant ( very nice) was rounding up taking our photos, she came and tried hurrying her to finish quickly and check her timer and she should be done already, just to make sure she doesn't go over the 15 minutes. Omg! Felt so sad for her, having to work with this type of person everyday.

I initially had an appointment with Cynthia but the manager Laura stepped in because she had more experience with small children, and she did wonderfully! Thank you for going the extra mile with our photos!

I took holiday pics with my boyfriend and our two cats. We had a late appointment on the Wednesday before thanksgiving. Major props to Karla our photographer. She was extremely patient with our cats who were having a little bit of trouble and were a little stressed. I felt bad that we were making it harder for her and kept her late. She never made us feel bad or even rushed to get out to close up. The photos turned out amazing. I loved her creativity in poses and props. We didn’t even have a coupon but she applied one for us. From now on, every time I’ll look our beautiful photos, I will think of the amazing service and skill from Karla.

Beware doing newborn photos here. You only get 15 min for photoshoot which is not a convenience given it’s a baby. We felt very rushed. They only do ONE shot per pose without considering how the baby looks. My babies eyes came out cross eyed in one pose and that’s the shot I got. LMAO. For the amount of money that I paid for and every picture effortlessly taken, I will never return again. Neither will I ever recommend this place.

The photographer had no idea what they were doing. They didn't pose us didn't pay attention to hair didn't look for unsightly things in the photo. Go somewhere else for what they're charging you for photos it's ridiculous

Excitedly booked a maternity photo shoot, read the details and got my outfits ready (as the site says). Day of the shoot I was told, "I see you have multiple outfits, you won’t be able to use them. See that door right there, go ahead and change into the one outfit you want to take photos with, your session is only 15 minutes". I replied, "that’s not what your site says, it mentions to bring multiple outfits to change into.." Her response, "We don’t do that during the weekend or Christmas season". How was u supposed to know that?? I stood there frozen on the verge of tears while she continued helping those around me. Needless to say, I canceled the appointment.

I brought my family here last week to get individual portraits of the kids and a family photo. Laura was our photographer and she was fabulous. She gave us lots of poses and kept things moving quickly so the kids stayed engaged and happy. I was very happy with how the pictures turned out.
