I was surprised at how quickly I felt comfortable with Darina. Even though my world is photography, being a photographer myself, it's a very different experience stepping out in front of the camera. Quite often, I'm not happy seeing pictures of myself. Especially ones taken with a smart phone -I think so many of us can relate to this. What an incredible thing to actually enjoy being photographed & to love the images! Within minutes, literally, I relaxed. Darina held the space in such a non-judgemental, fun, creative way. She took a moment at the beginning of the shoot to share with me a few shots. What she showed me was GORGEOUS -I literally saw my soul. And as the day progressed, we explored ways to create the vibe that I'd described to her at the beginning of the shoot when we went over my mood board. So. Much. Fun. It felt collaborative, I felt SEEN. Which at times, feels more rare as I get older. Thank you Darina for reminding me that I'm a badass! Can't wait to hang photographs from this shoot on the wall so that I can be reminded of this every, single, day.

I recently did a photo shoot with Darina, and it was a very fun day. Darina provides a comfortable, casual atmosphere, and the whole process feels like play. She was open to a few different costume and hair changes, and I really enjoyed her go-with-the-flow approach to the shoot. I felt like I had given myself a special treat.

Working with Darina was fabulous. I flew from SF to get these shots because her work is so unique and stunning. And I wanted to work with someone who could really help me see and fall even more in love with myself. It didn't disappoint. They will be featured on our new website and brand, coming soon!

I felt completely at ease. The prep process was amazing, from her detailed emails to playing my favorite music, ensuring I felt confident and comfortable. Darina paid attention to every detail, helping me feel great in my own skin so I could bring my best self into the studio. She guided me while also allowing me to be myself, and the results were magical. My first shoot with her was in December 2003, and I was back a year later because life changes, and you always need new photos! What a great experience! Darina has such an eye for color and space, even how you put your hands makes a difference in the look of the shot. It was fun and I was so surprised how comfortable she makes you feel in your own skin! Truly wish I didn’t put it off so long!
