We brought in Tristane from Chasing Shadows to shoot our production of Our Town, and his work stood out in a way that's hard to overstate. The resultant photos (turned back over to us in 1-2 days) are genuinely exceptional. What he pulled off technically is impressive. Theater lighting is a nightmare to photograph—it's dramatic and moody by design, which means excessive exposure or your actors look like silhouettes. Tristane nailed it. The images have depth and clarity. Colors read true. The mood of each scene is there. The pictures formed an effective basis for our subsequent social media and other promotional efforts. Tristan & Chasing Shadows did an amazing job with my UF Graduation photos! After a terrible experience with a different photographer, Tristan stepped in to help me get the photos of my dreams so I could celebrate and memorialize such an important moment in my life. Even though I reached out very late into the graduation season, Tristan responded quickly with incredibly reasonable prices (I think he undercharged really) and was able to meet me at the location of my choice to shoot for a few hours. He was able to get exactly the look that I wanted from the inspo pics I showed him, and was able to shoot, edit, and send the photos to me in less than TWO DAYS. Tristan Fowler is a magician! I have been an Actress for a long time, I’ve had my headshot taken more times than I can say. This photographer is worth every penny and more. He truly understands how to push you to move your body in a way that the shadows fall where they need too to emphasize your best features and his lighting makes the skin glow. The photos I received with NO TOUCH UPS or Edits were beyond impeccable. He doesn’t need digital mastery (although he has that too) to take a stunning portrait.
